Application Process: With a traditional internship,
you apply directly to the employer. With Work U,
we place you into an internship - you just apply
to the Work U program and tell us which three
opportunities for the upcoming semester you9re
most interested in.
Who Can Apply: While employers hiring a
traditional intern may require a specioc major or
previous experience, every Work U opportunity
is open to all majors, skill sets, and levels of
experience. In fact, we prioritize applicants without
professional experience, making Work U a great
way to start getting experience in your desired
career oeld.
Class with a Career Advisor: You9ll spend 10 hours
a week with your Work U employer and have
class once a week to enhance your internship
experience. In class, a career advisor will help
you identify the skills you9re gaining, learn how
to put them on resumes and talk about them in
interviews, and navigate challenges that arise in
your internship.
