COLLEGE OF EDUCATION
Have you always had a passion for learning and
helping others? Do you want to give back to your
community and make an impact on the future? The
College of Education (COED) at Boise State University
ofers a variety of education programs for those
interested in engaging with students and families of all
ages and exceptionalities! Our graduates are lifelong
learners who show a growth mindset, empathy, and
interest in others9 academic success.
All College of Education programs include
opportunities for oeldwork and experiential learning,
providing students with a hands-on approach to their
own education. We partner with multiple schools
and community stakeholders across the state to
place students in diverse oeld experiences. These
placements allow our students to gain orsthand
knowledge and skills as an educator, including
curriculum development, dynamic instruction,
problem-solving, and a strong drive to go out into
their communities and make a diference. For students
pursuing our programs leading to teaching licensure,
the college also coordinates an education-specioc
career fair for our teacher candidates during their
student teaching experience.
Every year, Boise State Teacher Education prepares
approximately 200 candidates for initial teaching
certiocation through our high-quality, nationally
accredited four-year program. The majority of these
candidates go on to obtain their teaching certiocations
and accept positions, both in Idaho and beyond.
Students who graduate from the College of Education
typically ond jobs in a variety of educational settings,
including schools, districts, early learning centers, and
more. With overwhelmingly positive feedback about
our graduates from our local community employers,
we are proud to cultivate a culture of well-started
education professionals in our college!
